What is holistic nutrition?

Holistic nutrition assesses a person’s lifestyle, diet, and mindset to find the root cause(s) of what may be causing symptoms. The goal of nutritional counselling is to support and optimize the body’s healing and strengthening abilities, promoting wellness.

The benefits of nutritional counselling

Anyone can benefit from seeing a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Some of the ways an R.H.N. can help include:

Is nutritional counselling covered under insurance?

There are many insurances that cover my services under “nutritionist” or “nutrition counselling”. As a proud member of the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals, insurances that may cover my services include Canada Life, Manulife, Great West Life, Blue Cross, League, and Industrielle Alliance. Please reference your own coverage to ensure you are covered properly. Health/flex spending accounts might also include nutrition services.

What is a customized meal plan?

After our initial consultation, I will consider your health concerns, wellness goals, potential body system imbalances, and lifestyle, and create a meal plan with recipes with foods that contain specific nutrients to support your concerns/goals. I will also recommend supplements that may further support your wellness journey.

The recipes are easy, nutritious, and delicious. Most of the recipes take an hour or less from start to finish.
