What to expect at your first Reiki session
These treatments are done fully clothed. You will be asked to get comfortable on the treatment table and relax. The practitioner will use different hand positions from the top of your head all the way down to your feet. The Reiki energy flows through the practitioner to the client creating a relaxing, warm, soothing sensation.
What you can expect to feel during a Reiki session
Reiki is a unique experience for everyone. Some people feel as though they are hovering, some feel completely aware of their surroundings while also feeling as if they are somewhere else completely. Some people fall into such a deep state of relaxation that they fall asleep. For some, the experience can be quite dramatic while for others it may uneventful (specially for their very first session). The most common experience manifested by most is an almost immediate sense of total relaxation, a total release of stress.
